Happy Wednesday everyone!
Once I’d checked it’s definitely Wednesday, I decided to do a quick WWW Wednesday post. WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words but I have to give a mention to Hâf at The Library Looter as I saw it there first. Make sure to check out their blogs!
Thanks for the inspiration Sam and Hâf.
What is WWW Wednesday?
For WWW Wednesday you answer the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What have you recently finished reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
So for my first WWW Wednesday…
What are you currently reading?
The first on my currently reading pile is ‘The Music Box’ by Carbone (script) and Gijé (art). It is a beautiful children’s graphic novel, the first in the Pandorient series. I’m not going to say too much more but it is beautiful and a review will be coming soon! You can purchase ‘The Music Box’ from Europe Comics.

I’m also reading James Patterson and Bill Clinton’s The President is Missing. I used to read a lot of James Patterson and this one intrigued me. This is my nightstand book that I read a few pages of just before I go sleep. I have to admit I am finding it a bit slow at the moment but I will persevere! Available to purchase from Amazon*.
What have you recently finished reading?
I’ve just finished and reviewed Lightness by Catherine Meurisse, which is a graphic narrative/memoir. It was stunning and I loved it. Check out my review for more information. Also available from Europe Comics.

I also read and reviewed Ann Braden’s The Benefits of Being an Octopus which is a book aimed at 8-12 year olds. It’s a multifaceted story of a young girl, Zoey, learning about how the world works and how you do not need to accept your circumstances as a fait accompli. There is a lesson in there for all of us. Read my full review here or purchase from Amazon*.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Good question. I’ve just picked up Maggie O’Farrell’s memoir ‘I am, I am, I am’ from the library so I think that has to be next on my list, I’ve heard so many good things about it.
My NetGalley list isn’t getting any shorter so I think I might read Colleen Rowan Kosinski’s ‘A Promise Stitched in Time’, although I have just been sent Marianne Holmes’ ‘A Little Bird Told Me’ which is out earlier so we shall see!

I hope you enjoyed my first WWW Wednesday.
