Franklin’s Flying Bookshop is a children’s book with a suggested age range of 3-7-year-olds. However, it has been a long time since I was seven and I love this book.
Franklin is a book-loving dragon who meets a book-loving girl called Luna – and there their adventures begin.
I originally purchased Franklin’s Flying Bookshop as a gift (and he will definitely be receiving it!) but when it arrived I fell in love with the cover, decided to read it, and fell in love all over again.
This wonderful book explores some of the many topics you can find in books and how you can always find something interesting to learn. It also shows how books and stories can bring people together and how, even though we are all different and unique, we can all find something in common when it comes to reading.
As well as the story, the book is beautifully illustrated by Katie Harnett who has incorporated into her drawings the diversity of the people around us.
I highly recommend this book to anyone, not just for children! I am planning on purchasing my own copy very soon.
If you would like your own copy of Franklin’s Flying Bookshop, I recommend purchasing it directly from Jen’s website. It is currently available in hardback and you can pre-order the paperback edition.
There is also another installation coming very soon – Franklin and Luna Go to the Moon – which is available to pre-order here. Another I am planning to purchase!
Also, if you purchase directly from Jen’s website she will sign the book for you (if you want her to!) – just drop her an email after you’ve purchased your order.
Follow Jen on Twitter and check out her YouTube channel.
Note: I purchased this book myself and was not asked by Jen Campbell or her representatives to review it.
That book is absolutely beautiful!
