Title: The Choice
Author: Edith Eger
Publication date: Out now in hardback, out in paperback 16th August 2018
I was approved for The Choice on NetGalley and I am so grateful for it. This book is a memoir of Edith Eger’s experience of being a Prisoner of War in Auschwitz and her life afterward up until present day. It’s an incredibly powerful book and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the Holocaust or WWII.

Title: Six Tudor Queens – Jane Seymour: The Haunted Queen
Author: Alison Weir
Publication date: Out now
I absolutely love Tudor history so I’m taking the opportunity to see Alison Weir speak at the Edinburgh Book Festival towards the end of the month. Ahead of the talk I’ve decided to read her latest Six Tudor Queens book about Jane Seymour. I think out of all of Henry VIII’s wives this is the Queen I know the least about so I am looking forward to getting stuck in (it’s quite a tome!).

Six Tudor Queens looks terrific. It’s now on my list. I just finished reading a Civil War novel, Where Eagles Dare Not Perch. Meh. It wasn’t fabulous. I am reading Finding Langston, a MG book that I am liking so far. Next on my list is three full novel manuscripts I have to read and give notes for a writer’s retreat I am going to next month. I also have a copy of Kate DiCamillo’s new book, Louisiana’s Way Home, I hope to start very soon.
