Happy Wednesday Everyone!
Welcome back to WWW Wednesday. WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.
I hope you’re all doing well. It’s been a while since my last WWW Wednesday. I’ve got a lot going on at the moment so when it comes to my blog I’m just being relaxed about it and posting when I can. It also means I’m not doing a huge amount of reading.
I’ll bring you up to speed with what I have been managing to read and what’s next on my agenda.
Enjoy!
What is WWW Wednesday?
For WWW Wednesday you answer the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What have you recently finished reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?

At the moment I am about 3/4 of the way through Bridget Collins’ The Binding (look at that cover, I just love it) which I am enjoying and it is so intense. I’ve honestly had times where I’ve had to put it down and walk away because I just couldn’t take the suspense or anxiety anymore. It really is an impressive piece of writing.
I was super excited yesterday to be approved on NetGalley for Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott. I tried my best to get a physical ARC for this book but to no avail. I’m a huge fan of The Fault in Our Stars so this book resonated with me. I’ve also followed someone on YouTube for a number of years who has CF [cystic fibrosis] so I am curious to see how Lippincott portrays the disease.
What have you recently finished reading?

I recently reviewed Vanessa Lafaye and Rebecca Mascull’s Miss Marley which you can check out here. It’s a perfect book for curling up in a chair over Christmas with a glass of glühwein and comes highly recommended.

As a complete contrast to Miss Marley, last week I got totally distracted from my TBR by Bird Box. I already knew about this book before it was being made into a film, but wanted to read the book first. Totally honestly, I didn’t dig it. I found it a bit disappointing although I will give it credit for being creepy and spooky.
What do you think you’ll read next?

I don’t even know why I do this question as I never stick to it! 🙂 I really need to get ahead on my January and February TBR list so I think Frances Liardet’s We Must Be Brave will be next on my list. I’ve had this book for months and the ARC is so stunning (cover by Heike Schüssler). I can’t wait to get stuck in.
It really depends though on whether I can get some books finished up before Christmas and what Santa brings me! Squee!

What’s on your TBR list? Let me know in the comments below and don’t forget to share a link to your own WWW Wednesday.

I’ll be curious to see what you think of Five Feet Apart! I think I enjoyed it more than The Fault in Our Stars. The main character is also a YouTuber and that adds an interesting element!

I read Bird Box last week as well. I enjoyed it but I was left unsatisfied because I still had so many questions after I finished it. There were so many things left unanswered. I look forward to watching the movie still. I deviated from my TBR to read Bird Box as well once I seen the movie was coming out this month.

Unsatisfied is the perfect way to describe how I felt too. I did consider I wasn’t being very generous with my view but I don’t think I’m being unfair. Maybe it will better suit a movie?

The preview for the movie looks like it’s going to be pretty good but we will see. 🤞
