Happy Wednesday Everyone!
Welcome back to WWW Wednesday. WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.
Well, I’ve been totally rubbish with my posting lately but for good reason. I’m just posting as and when I can at the moment and thought this would be an opportunity to update you all on what I’ve been reading lately.
I hope you’re all having a lovely 2019 so far and getting in plenty of reading (or listening, audiobooks are books!).
Enjoy!
What is WWW Wednesday?
For WWW Wednesday you answer the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What have you recently finished reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
I’ve really struggled to settle into a book recently, so I’ve done the sensible thing (*ahem*) and started six. As you do. I’m loved One Of Us Is Lying and was so excited for Two Can Keep A Secret. So far I’m really enjoying it, another solid book from Karen McManus.
I am determined to read more poetry and non-fiction in 2019, and so far I feel like I’ve gotten off on a solid start. I never thought I’d read Michelle Obama’s Becoming, but when I saw the audiobook version it seemed more tempting. It’s just stunning. She’s a wonderful storyteller and orator, and I can’t get enough of it. It’s 18 hours long and I have 10 hours to go, so I’ll update in the next couple of weeks!
What have you recently finished reading?

I’ve just finished Bridget Collins’ The Binding, and you can find the full review here.

If you know the story of Annie Oakley (Annie Get Your Gun) then you’ll probably enjoy One Shot. I’m just in the process of writing up my review, coming soon!
What do you think you’ll read next?

I think it may be sensible if I don’t start anything else just yet, but, when I have cleared the backlog, the next book I’ll be picking up is All The Lives We Ever Lived: Seeking Solace in Virginia Woolf by Katharine Smyth. Such a stunning cover and I’m looking forward to getting started.

I often start reading several books at the same time too! You seem like you have a very varied and interesting bunch there!

I just can’t read more than one book at a time. I need to focus. If I start a second book while I’m reading one, it is a death knell for the first book.
