Happy Wednesday Everyone!
Welcome back to WWW Wednesday. WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.
It’s been a bit of a slow couple of weeks on the reading front, despite my best efforts. Too much time on Twitter. Whoops.
I hope you’re all having a good week, and don’t forget, tea and cake fixes everything.
What is WWW Wednesday?
For WWW Wednesday you answer the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What have you recently finished reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
April is such a busy month for releases, I’m struggling to keep up! Thankfully, one of my reads is the gorgeous Opposite of Always by Justin A. Reynolds. It’s a lovely story with lots of diversity thrown in.
Alongside that, I’m also reading a book of poetry called Because a Woman’s Heart is Like a Needle at the Bottom of the Ocean by Sugar Magnolia Wilson. I can’t quite remember where I spotted this but I was struggling to find it in the UK, so contacted the publisher, Auckland University Press, and they offered to send me a copy all the way from New Zealand. Wilson’s poetry is mind-blowing – I can’t wait to share my full review with you.
What have you recently finished reading?

I finally caved last week and read John Marrs’ The Passengers. I loved it. Like really loved it. But you’re going to have to wait until May to find out why…!

My latest audiobook read is John Lanchester’s The Wall. It was dark and emotional and unlike anything else I’ve read before. Will Poulter’s narration just sealed the deal. Highly recommended.
What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m on the blog tour for The Confessions of Frannie Langton by Sara Collins, so this will definitely be my next read. Watch this space!

I know what you mean about April being a busy month for releases. I have quite a few books to get through in the next few weeks. I hope you love The Opposite of Always! I’m looking forward to reading it.

I would quite like to read The Passengers – glad you enjoyed it. I haven’t read much in March so I’m hoping to catch up. My next read will be Watching Edie by Camilla Way 🙂

Opposite of Always looks AMAZING. I hadn’t heard of that one before, but I totally need to read that now!!! The Passengers sounds awesome too.

I just finished OoA on my lunch break and can confirm it’s a good book. I’m feeling proud of myself as it’s totally out of my comfort zone. I don’t read a lot of YA, nevermind romance!

I’ve been doing a bit of reading outside my comfort zone this year and I’ve found some amazing stuff. It’s a nice mental kick in the brain and a good reminder that great stuff exists outside my usual favorites, so I’m glad I’ve gone down this path. 🙂

Augh! I’m always so behind on my reading. Because a Woman’s Heart is Like a Needle at the Bottom of the Ocean looks really lovely but it isn’t available as a print book in the US, and I don’t read ebooks. (sigh) I will keep my eye open for it. That may be the most beautiful cover I have seen in a long time. Thanks for the post.
