I’ve had another slow reading week and I’m in a bit of a slump, but I am persevering.

I am a huge Kate Hamer fan, so I was super quick to request a copy of her new book Crushed. I have absolutely no idea what’s going on (or what’s really going on I should say) and I am LOVING it. I feel like there’s something quite sinister happening but all of the characters seem in some way unreliable. I don’t give my books star ratings but if I did this would be a five star prediction.

Last week a huge parcel dropped through my door from Andersen Press which included A Wolf Called Wander by Rosanne Parry (auth.) and Mónica Armiño (illus.). I’m dipping into this between reading Crushed and it’s really beautiful, I can’t wait to review it.

I’ve had a quiet eye on Nick Tyrone’s Pop Star Jihadi for a while now and an opportunity to review it dropped in my lap (which is always nice!). I’ll be curling up with this on the weekend.
