Bookish Things I’ve Enjoyed This Week #5

Can you believe we’re half way through August? We’ll all be talking about Christmas before we know it…!

I hope you enjoy this post and let me know what your favourite bookish thing from the week was in the comments below.

Articles
  1. I think most of us are guilty of reading books from certain countries or sticking with the same genre. I read a lot of middle-grade fiction that comes out of Scotland, but not a lot of adult fiction so I’m trying to broaden my horizons!
  2. I want to watch Public Theater’s version of Much Ado About Nothing so badly, but I can’t seem to work out how to watch it in the UK! If anyone has any information, please let me know.
  3. Did anyone else miss the Olympics this year? I hadn’t quite realised how much I enjoy the event until it was cancelled. Hopefully the games can go ahead next year.

Blog posts

I love podcasts and I love books that take the format of or involve podcasts, so I Killed Zoe Spanos has gone straight on my TBR list. This is an excellent review from A Short Book Lover.

Booktube

Another quiet booktube week for me but I discovered a new booktuber! Huzzah!

August Book Haul – Olivia’s Catastrophe
Life is scary so here’s 16 books to read – Noelle Gallagher

This week I found an Etsy shop called Colour Me Fun. They sell a variety of items but my absolute favourite are these badges (buttons), which would make fantastic gifts.

Don’t forget to let me know in the comments what your favourite bookish discovery of the week is!

If you want to copy the format of this post, please go ahead – tag me so I can read it! 🙂 (*Please do not use my images or headers, thank you in advance!)

Wishing you a bookish week,

  1. I am glad you enjoyed my book haul video! And I want to watch that adaption of Much Ado About Nothing as well, it looks fantastic. Not quite sure how to do so yet but will need to look into it as well.
