Welcome back!
Welcome back to What I’m Reading Wednesday. The original meme is called ‘WWW Wednesday’ hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words. However, to make my blog more accessible, I have renamed it ‘What I’m Reading Wednesday’.
Don’t forget to let me know in the comments what you’re currently reading. Take care of yourselves and keep reading.
What is ‘What I’m Reading Wednesday’?
For What I’m Reading Wednesday you answer the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What have you recently finished reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?

I was in a reading slump and came across someone on Twitter reading Alison Weir’s forthcoming book Henry VIII: The Heart and the Crown. I absolutely love Weir’s writing, and I am obsessed with the Plantagenet and Tudor dynasties. In a moment of weakness, I requested Henry VIII: The Heart and the Crown on Netgalley and it was approved! However, as it is the second book in this series I am currently reading Elizabeth of York: The Last White Rose. I’m really enjoying it, even if I do keep having to stop to Google who is who…!
What have you recently finished reading?

I finally finished Agatha Christie’s Partners in Crime, which is the February book for the Read Christie Challenge 2023. Sadly, this one was not for me. It was honestly a slog, and I really disliked the lack of an underlying storyline. I’ve already read the book for March, The Moving Finger, so I’ll be taking a break from Christie until April.
What do you think you’ll read next?

I have to confess I’d never heard of The Blue Book of Nebo by Manon Steffan Ros ahead of the announcement that the book has been longlisted for the Yoto Carnegie Medal for Writing 2023. I absolutely love the sound of this book so I got straight onto my library to reserve a copy. I’m very excited to immerse myself in The Blue Book of Nebo.

I didn’t think to rename this weekly meme to make it more accessible! That was a great idea. I’m sorry the Agatha Christie novel wasn’t for you. I have yet to read an Agatha Christie novel yet but I’m hoping to read at least one soon.

The Tommy and Tuppence books are very different to the Poirot and Marple stories. I think I’ve come to expect a certain style from her so this one threw me! Haha. I’d recommend And Then There Were None, that one is excellent.
